Welcome to our Australian Pulp Fiction section. The late 1950s to the early 70s was the golden era of Australian Pulp fiction. Some of the best and worst pulp fiction novels were published by Horwitz Publications, Calvert Publishing and Scripts. The latter was the risque/adults only version of the Horwitz publications. Australian Pulp fiction is now quite rare. Below you will find authors such as Roger Hunt, R. W. Hunter, Frank Rennie, W. R. Bennett, John Slater, John Wynnum, Carter Brown, John Reeve, Alastair Mars, Michael Owen, Jon Cleary, Shane Douglas, James Holledge, Marcia McEwen, Fergus Grant, Donald Hann, Ray Slattery, Kerry Mitchell, Jim Kent and James Workman. The late J. E. Macdonnell was perhaps Australia's greatest pulp fiction writer, and produced over 280 novels. To see a list of his books, please click Here.
