Pro-Glow Products is a proprietary brand used by Lion Electronics since 1982 in the manufacture of many of our finest
hobby products.
Most of these products are listed below along with some detail for reference.
FUELS
We at Pro-Glow Products are acknowledged as the major manufacturer of model fuels in Australia with our using only
the finest ingredients available and these being sourced from all over the world to ensure that we have the best
components available.
With the advent of extremely high performance motors, larger model motors and four stroke motors the days of back yard
fuel manufacturers are all but ended. Even though all Pro-Glow Products fuel ingredients are available for sale to
properly licensed individuals it is not possible for a hobbyist to equal the standards that commercial manufacturers such
as Pro-Glow Products achieve when manufacturing model fuels.
In these modern times all fuels must be professionally manufactured to the highest standard in order to ensure the quality
required for successfully exporting to the many regions throughout the world we supply. For customers to be confident of
our products quality it is important to know a little about the standards we follow in the acquisition of the ingredients that
we use and then about how we use them.
We supply fuels in cartons that hold a total of either 12 litres bottled in 1 litre containers or 20 litres bottled in 2 litre or 5
litre plastic containers. Also available are bulk supplies in 200 litre drums.
OILS - We use three main oils in the manufacture of our model fuels.
Castor Oil - DeGummed - To date only one supplier has been able to meet our specifications.

Pro-Glow Castor Oil and Advanced Castor Oil are we believe now far superior than any
other and are probably the only Truly Degummed Castor Oils available in Australia in volume.
This is the only Castor Oil base used in both the all Castor Oil fuel formulations and our Synthetic/Castor oil blends.
Advanced Castor oil is the same product as the degummed Castor oil above except with the following additives.
Lubricity additives (slickeners), Wetting action enhancers (spreading lubricant evenly) and most importantly a protein
dispersant.
ADVANCED CASTOR OIL IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT WHEN USED BY MODELLERS MAKING THEIR OWN FUEL AS IT ALLOWS THEM TO MAKE A MUCH
SUPERIOR FUEL TO ANY THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE USING STANDARD CASTOR OIL.
For identification purposes a blue dye is added to Advanced Castor Oil when it is bottled for direct distribution to the
public through hobby outlets.
Pro-Glow Blended Synthetic Oil
Our very own Synthetic blend which we have been using in all of our standard range of model fuels that use a synthetic
oil. It has an odour all of its own but no colouring other than its natural colour which would be best described as a honey
colour.
Over the years we have been using this oil in our synthetic fuels and during this time we have not had a single warranty
claim made against us.
It should be noted that we are of the opinion that fuels containing Castor oil offer much greater
protection to model motors (which is an opinion shared by many modern model motor
manufacturers) but if you find the extra mess associated with Castor oil use unpalatable then
Pro-Glow Blended Synthetic oil is we think your next best choice.
Pro-Glow Blended Synthetic oil is also a 50 weight oil.
Klotz KL200
This is the only synthetic oil we will use in a 100% synthetic configuration. The famous Klotz oils which are
manufactured in the U.S.A. are of a top quality but we must stress that any motors run on a fuel using a 100% synthetic oil
only are susceptible to damage if care is not taken in tuning that motor to avoid a lean run. Most mixtures using a synthetic
oil will include a small percentage of Castor oil as a back up which is a well considered insurance.
Klotz Kl200 is a 50 weight oil.
Pro-Glow products will not use any oils other than those listed above in any fuels manufactured for sale by Pro-Glow
products.
